the groups and places of worship in
Churches Together in Berkshire

This website is designed to help anyone looking for basic information on the groups in Churches Together in the county of Berkshire in the south of England. 

Web pages for each group are being built and put on line as soon as they are ready.  Click on a link below for a particular CT group.

Each shows its churches by denomination, the postal address including postcode to help you find it using Streetmap or Multimap, and usually has at least a telephone number or e-mail contact, and any link to the church website.

If you need other information, contact the CT Berkshire Office in Reading - shown on the right.  For some local and national information sites, also see the links on the right.

For Roman Catholic churches, see the Thames Valley area sections on the parish directory page at The Portsmouth Diocese website.

For Methodist churches, please see the list at the South East District website (and there's also the more local www.readingmethodists.org.uk, though this does not include Newbury).

Churches Together in Berkshire is one of the many groups in Churches Together in England (CTE).  This is the national body set up by the churches in 1990, and has partner bodies in Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Alongside a co-ordinating role in ecumenism and evangelism, CTE is also active in public and socio-political affairs, on issues such as education, healthcare, ethnic minorities, young people, inter-faith dialogue, and environmentalism and climate change.
