The Great Park Pastoral Area of Portsmouth Diocese
(aka North East Berkshire) covers Maidenhead, Cookham, Windsor, and Ascot. 
It includes seven worshipping communities, nine schools and four religious communities.
With the South Berkshire Pastoral Area it forms a natural sub-group in CAFOD Portsmouth Diocese.

The Diocesan Pastoral Plan envisages about 25 or so parishes composed of a number of church communities.
So this page is an opportunity for everyone to see and understand something of the activities, ways and personality
of the others in the Area.  Websites are a rich source of information - with weekly newsletters, PPC minutes, rotas, finances, and news of events

NB (from parish newsletter) Due to prior commitments on behalf of the Mill Hill  Missionary Society
and the Association for the Propagation of the Faith, Fr Paul will  not be able to take up fulltime duties as Parish Priest
until December. However, from the beginning of September, he will celebrate daily Mass and be available
at certain times in the parish office. Fr Paul is currently arranging weekend cover for the Sunday Masses
of the Parish from among his Mill Hill colleagues and other priests.

is a special sort of thank-you to people and organisations in and around East and South Berkshire wanting to do something about the causes of poverty in countries across the world.

It's an informal, unofficial and independent local offshoot of CAFOD - the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development.  So JustOne is intended to be of use and service to like-minded organisations and individuals.

Just1 is organised by Hugh Gibbons, a Media Volunteer with CAFOD in Portsmouth Diocese.

He says: "The idea is to put my Ahaa! business psychology and other experience and expertise to work for the benefit of others - in a variety of ways. As important, it's to say Thanks, and Well Done to lots of people."  And Just1 has just one source of funding - guess who.
