Both Catholic Primary Schools held assemblies - and were part of the total of nearly 17,000 children, teachers and parents across the country. Organised by Hugh Gibbons of CAFOD Portsmouth, it was a contribution to the 50 Days of Action of the Global Call to Action Against Poverty and the UN Millennium Campaign.  In all, over 116 million people took part - setting a new Guinness World Record

Photograph policy at public events
As a general rule, no close up face-on photographs of children will be
shown on the JustOne website
or any that will give their identity.

So events such as School fetes - on the left - will feature only adult stallholders and helpers.  Where possible, subjects will be warned that the photo is to go on this JustOne website.
 

Set-piece events such as
the one on the left will usually feature no children anyway - just their handiwork.

At mainly-adult events -
such as the Evening on the left - as much as possible subjects will be warned that the photos are to go on this website as a visual record.  Anyone who doesn't like their photo taken will be excluded from the photogalleries and video clips.
Most photos are edited to make them interesting pictures - eg by cropping. So they're not just your usual face-on stiff-bodied group pictures.
If you don't want a photo to
stay on the website, just contact hugh@ahaa.org.uk 
and it will be removed.
